A Letter To Everyone Who's Only Just Begun Coding

Coding is hard, but I've got your back.

This letter goes out to all of the 13 year olds who started a Neocities out of sheer boredom, or a genuine want to code, to the adults in their 20s, 30s, 40s who are reviving their old passions from their teenage years, and anyone else who's only just starting to code.

Coding is hard. I get it. It's complicated - so much text, so much brackets, so many paragraph styles, so many tables and columns... You'll get used to that, soon, though. You'll find the cluttered codes comforting because you know that you've just made a complete page. Maybe one day you'll even find it soothing to see the clutter if you end up coding to calm yourself.

One day you'll find your empty pages turning into colorful ones filled to the brim with silly gifs. You'll find your website filled with all sorts of pages - shrines, journal entries and articles, pages dedicated to graphics you've found over the years... Maybe one day you, yourself, will be an inspiration for some beginner just like you.

Don't give up. Coding is a complicated process, but once you get the hang of it, you'll feel much much more comfortable with it.

So, to all of the beginners reading this: keep perservering. You can do it, I believe in you! One day you'll be writing letters too, thanking all of your viewers and followers on Neocities. Everyone's got your back, especially me.
